I am Regi Yifu, the NEW Coordinator of Second Life Endowment for the Arts (SLEA).
We have some big changes in store for you here at SLEA, including a brand new website. Check it out at https://www.slearts.com
We are so excited to announce that starting today SLEA Artist Grant Applications can be submitted online and SLEA will be accepting applications all year long. We can’t wait to see the amazing art you bring to SLEA!
You can also apply online for SLEA Micro Grants for Sky Galleries (2D), 360° ArtWalk (3D), Linden Center for Performing Arts, MusicLAB, Machinima.Land, and Willow Bay Literary Park. If you would like to have an event at one of these venues please navigate to their page on the website and fill out the online form.
In a new collaboration with Sasun Steinbeck’s SL Art Venues Database, the SLEA Bridge Project now has an online database available on the website, including a wearable SLEA Bridge Project HUD for easy access to participating galleries. If you would like to have your gallery included in the art venue database (you will need to rez a kiosk at your gallery) or you just need to get a HUD, please go to the SLEA Bridge and find a Bridge Project Sign where you can get your Kiosk and/or HUD. If you’re interested you can also join the Golden Canvas Art Hunt. This is an ongoing hunt for free art!
Need a place to build? We have the Art Sandbox! Just join the SLEA Sandbox Group and you will be able to build. The Art Sandbox is cleaned every Friday at 10am. If you would like to have a pop-up event in the sandbox where you would build a venue and have a dj or performer please fill out the form on the Art Sandbox page.
